One of the cheapest and the best 12v non cordless car vacuum cleaner (Coido) i got from mr.diy. The design is very compact and as small as palm but the motor is very powerful and thus the suction. Despite the unit only comes with 1 extra extension nozzle but the use of the machine much more significant.

1. The powerful motor and suction of the Coido 12 volt - using the nozzle could easily clean all the sands and dust on the floor mat of the car. While the whale mouth design work very smoothly and comfortably on the cushion seat.

Best 12v Car Vacuum Cleaner Review - Carsun

This is one of the vacuum cleaner i got from Mr.DIY store - it's the 12v car vacuum cleaner with wet and dry functionality. The unit comes with 2 extra nozzle and 1 extension hose. The design looks very solid and professional built but the suction design not very convincing - upon testing the motor is very loud and powerful but the suction is just average.

Testing on real vacuum action - it does the job quite okay but still not very promising. There is huge disadvantage of the unit, after used heavily and wash the filter it failed to suck the dust again. The problem is the filter unit if contact with water it will block the air flow into the motor thus prevent it from sucking anything. This is not a recommended unit and useless vacuum cleaner after all despite the price is very cheap around RM35 only.

Perodua Alza Continental Tire Review vs Good Year Kuching

After more than 3 years used the Good year tire seems to run out of thread despite I've placed as the back wheel. In addition one, the back tire is punctured by a long steel nail so I've decided to change using Continental tire again. The Good Year tire price was RM240 each from Yokohama tires at 3rd-mile workshop opposite sunny hill, it was 2 years due since the manufacturing date when it was purchased and that caused it to have tiny crack after 2 years of use. The purchased date around February 2016 read here "Good Year Tire in Kuching for Perodua alza"

Now that I have changed to Continental for RM240 each from Continental workshop along Jalan Tabuan Jaya. The previous one from Continental along the pending road cost RM280 each purchased in April 2018 with manufacturing date 1917 (week 19 the year 2017) read here "Perodua Alza continental tire in Kuching". The new one comes with the manufacturing date of 0318 (Week 3 the Year 2018) so it is quite new.

The performance of the Continental tires pretty well but the Good year was more comfortable when it was still new. We will evaluate the performance of the continental tires over the years how good it is and how long it will last from this year onwards.

In summary: 

Good year - lasted around 3 years or a little bit more due to the manufacturing date around week 48 year 2014. So now November 2018 it's replaced

Continental - still running manufacturing date week 19 year 2018

Acer Aspire A315-32-C6SE review Intel Celeron N4000 speed performance

I've recently purchased the Acer Aspire A315-32-C6SE laptops from a dealer with a good price. The machine running on Intel Celeron N4000 processors and it is way cheaper than the Intel i3 which is around RM1800 to RM1900. The machine comes with 15 inch monitor display and quite wide every else pretty similar to normal laptops from low end to high end.

The Good of Acer Aspire A315-32-C6SE Notebook.

Although it is running on Intel Celeron N4000 the machine is not as slow as you may think - because the Celeron is always market for the low end market most people perceive it as below average performance. With the new Intel Celeron N4000 1.1 Ghz and maximum surge frequency up to 2.6 Ghz the machine seems to be quite good. I would consider it as almost similar to the Intel i3 machine except that you could save RM400 to RM500 buying this machine. Having 4 GB DDR RAM it helps the machine much stable - although it maybe slower during loading time but in the end when loaded it is much stable.

The keyboard design and overall looks of the body very nice and solid. Since it is running on Intel Celeron the battery can last quite long probably more than an hour for constant using. The heat also much lower due to less processing activity and it is very comfortable to use.

The Bad of Acer Aspire A315-32-C6SE Notebook.

Because of it using the Precision Touchpad with the I2C HID Device touch pad driver - you got to be very careful with the machine. Always test it first before purchasing from the shop. There are numerous complaint about the precision touch using this type with the same driver as mentioned and it will be very frustrating for you later if you are reckless without testing the touchpad. Don't get me wrong this is not only happen to the Acer laptop but others as well like ASUS, Lenovo, HP, etc and you can find them in Google numerous problems from many users. So before purchasing please test all the component like keyboard, camera, especially the touchpad - and if you are not very observant it could cost you great deal of money and time the seller refuse for new unit replacement.

Secondly as you know Intel Celeron is low end processor and it may takes quite sometime for it to load especially Windows during boot startup. However not to worry because once it is loaded the system will be stable and can be use normally.

Things to do to fix problem

1. Always test the equipment before purchasing and this is not only happening to ACER Aspire A315-32-C6SE but also all other laptops. This will save you the worries, time, and extra money spent later on.

2. Changing the HDD to SSD would significantly increase the performance of the machine - perhaps it could surpass the speed of Intel i3 processor and you can save RM400 to RM500 than buying i3. This is the most significant performance improvement 80% faster rather than using HDD. Apart from that the HDD boot loading time is very consistent where it can be slower and faster at times there but mostly annoying slow. So the SSD will save time and give you peace of mind using the machine.

Dell Inspiron Laptop N4030 - Upgrade with SSD how fast it can be?

If you have this laptop Dell Inspiron N4030 it comes with Intel i3 processor - the performance was really good when it was first purchased. However over the years as the process of installing and uninstalling applications software piled up. The system became slower and there is no remedy to it - the slowness is unbearable and sometimes the system freeze unable to process even internet browsers.



I guess most people experience this and it happens to most computers including desktops, laptops, notebook, tablets, phone. To keep my Dell Inspiron laptop alive and re-usable, therefore I've decided to try replacing the HDD with SSD 120 GB. I thought the process would be difficult considering the SSD size dimension could be different from the original HDD. However after purchasing it the SSD perfect fit into the HDD slot without hassle - especially with the help of the HDD holder which can be reused by the SSD to make it snug fit to the HDD SATA slot.

Car Aeropak Mr.DIY Product Review

Quite cheap car products from Mr.DIY that tempted me to try them how good they are - the brand name is called Aeropak and it comes in many varieties of different types and functionality. So I just might try them who knows it is good since it is not expensive anyway.



Aeropak Grease Spray - Cost around RM6.50 for 4.4 oz volume, I would say this is a very effective product to fix squicking bolts or joints. I have tested this on the gates roller wheel and the effect lasts much longer than lubricant oil. And tested on the car door squicking arm and it fixed the noise. The best and most affordable you can find highly recommended stuff.

Aeropak Bug and Tar cleaner - Cost around RM9.90, not very effective for removing tar and bugs stain compare to the WAXCO scratch remover. However, the Aeropak can remove black grease stain very effectively and as you can see the result below on the car battery terminal. By just spraying without wiping it cleans all the black greasy dirt and it works on some part of the engine as well to remove rat poos. So not for tar or bugs but it works on black grease stains. The only advantage of this is using spray with little straw so it can penetrate smaller gaps and it really works.



Aeropak Cleaning Wax - Cost around RM9.90, the performance is average perhaps because I was using hands to apply it. It could be much better to apply it using the polisher machine. So Perhaps not going to buy it in future since this is just the average product and due to the spray methods, it can finish faster than using paste. So the price is quite expensive in comparison to using paste wax.

WAXCO metallic-color scratch remover - Cost around RM10.90, this is highly recommended product despite it is bottle it actually comes in the form of a paste so it takes a little bit of effort to push it out of the bottle. But anyway it works great to remove tar (asphalt) as well as minor scratches. It also good to wax the car using it better than Aeropak cleaning wax + Aeropak bugs and tar cleaner combined. Fix Perodua Alza AirCond Cooling Coil Leak Service in Kuching Cheap and The Best Workshop

After nearly 8 years of no services on the Air conditioner cooling coil - finally it is leaked. The sign of this can be known when the air conditioner is not cold and refilling the gas only can last for a month or so. I have refilled them 3 times in 3 months time span - and when the gas is finished not only it blows normal air but there is some sense of bad smell coming out of the ventilation hole. So it is not pleasant to have a leak aircond cooling coil.

Have visited few air cond fix workshop around including tat soon at Kenyalang and One at Satok and another Precision Air Cond along the Ellis road. These workshop either giving a longer time to fix like 1 or 2 days or the price is quite expensive around RM700++ to RM800++ or they have less experience changing the Alza air cond cooling coil before. Perodua service center will fix this with no less than RM1000 or around RM1500.

However there is one shopped with 5 star rating on Google - called fun tat air cond works near the petronas 7th mile kota sentosa. The reviews shows people are happy with their worker attitude and also the work done for their car aircond fix. So i went there to check it out.

On site of the shop after discussing with the technician they offered RM600 replacement of the cooling coil (original alza) including workmanship. Considering the price is way much cheaper than the rest so i decided to have it replace in this workshop.

And no doubt the worker and the owner of the workshop is really experience in their air cond work and they can do this around 3 to 4 hours. The coil was leaked on the finn hive after testing by submerging in the water - and the boss said this was the caused of the foul smell coming out from the ventilator after the gas is dried.



Their work to remove the dashboard and everything was neat and meticulous - I was happy with all the works. The best you can find in Kuching and most affordable price with the least number of hours to complete the task.

Upon completion the workshop owner also provide 1 year warranty to the air cond coil and if anything happens can just go the shop for check up again. This is trully an honest place to have car air cond fix and you can have 99.9% confidence in their service and work. 5 stars for Fun Tat Air Cond works.

Note: Replacing the Alza air cond cooling coil is no easy task - it requires removing the dashboard and all sort of things like opening the steering. How to GAP Alza Wiper from Mr.DIY review

Cheap GAP Alza wiper cost RM15 from Mr.DIY comes in a pair of 24 inch and 17" inch. Don't be mistaken the length of the two windscreen wiper is not the same for both where one is longer and the other is shorter. It looks very soft but it is usable - the performance is not as bad as the expensive branded wiper you can find out there. I give it 8 out of 10 and it wiped of rain drops just like the rest - i am not sure how long it will last but since it is cheap so that is not so much of a concern for now.

How To Install Wiper

Step 1:

The old original wiper comes with a clip - so just flip over the wiper then press the clip and remove the wiper from the hook. See picture below



Step 2:

To install the GAP wiper - just open the buckle of the wiper and slip in the hook. Note that there are no hook and you must slip it in until snugged fit into the hook usually comes with the click sound. One it is done that's it.
