How to uninstall flash player components completely

Due to some unknown reasons, flash player components can be corrupted unexpectedly at times. When it happens usually error message will pop up with the “Repair” button to fix the problem. More often than not, clicking on the “Repair” button is not always working, so we have to use the last resort by removing all the flash player components from the system.

The uninstaller will help you to uninstall adobe flash player components such as Adobe Flash Player ActiveX, Adobe flash plug-in all at once. So you don’t have to waste your time to remove it one by one from the Windows Control Panel. Apart from that using the uninstaller also remove the file clean compare to manual removal.

How uninstall flash player components.

Step 1: Go to http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html and download the uninstall_flash_player.exe.

Step 2: Once downloaded make sure all running applications such as web-browsers, instant messengers, etc that uses adobe flash are closed

Step 3: Run the uninstaller

Step 4: Upon completing the un-installation process restart your computer

Step 5: Back to Windows OS open your browser and go to http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ to check that the flash player is successfully uninstalled

Step 6: To re-install flash player go to: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Why require Adobe uninstaller to remove the flash player component when we can do it on Windows Control Panel?

  1. The uninstaller can remove the flash player components all at once (i.e. Adobe Flash Player ActiveX, Adobe Flash plug-in)
  2. It removes all the related files completely
