DiGi 4G internet broadband speed vs Streamyx TMnet

Through the experience of using Streamyx TMnet over 7 years period has been quite frustrating. It has been on and off probably more than 10 thousands times over the course of 7 years period. But I've never look for any other internet service provider thinking that the connection will come back and most importantly the streamyx unlimited broandband streaming that i think no other ISP can provide. Although there TM support that we hope but all the fixed they have done is just temporary and it will happen again.

Until recently it got worst so bad and the internet is on/off almost every seconds and it happens 24 hours 7 days a week and it becomes totally unusable. So the Streamyx gone for termination. 

So then i was looking for a good internet broadband service provider that could done at least a little better than streamyx. Since my phone is subscribe to DiGi network and the experience is so good for so many years on my smart phone - then i decided to subscribe to DiGi RM100 for 100 GB internet connection. Despite the limited data download I hope that it will be able to last at least for monthly usage. 

Fortunately my area is having DiGi 4G coverage so i thought the line would be faster. Then after a more than a month of using I realized that I should have done that many years ago. Even at 1 Bar 4G signal is good enough to stream Youtube video at a decent rates and i discover that based on android apps the DiGi 4G capable to delivery up to 72 Mbps (Megabits per second) speed at full signal. Although this is not going to happen but I've tested it can go up to 25 Mbps per second at full 4G signal. Youtube videos only require 2 Mbps to run it smoothly without stopping. Unlike the streamyx which subscribed for 2 Mbps but the actual day to day speed is around 0.5 Mbps which is worst.

Secondly 100 GB data limit is more than enough for a month internet usage. 5 videos streamed in a day is nothing much - after a month of internet the data usage is only 35 GB out of 100 GB provided. Wow...something that I've skeptical of  using now becomes very convincing and real.

So the Streamyx is actually completely useless which i should have known before. The experience of using DiGi 4G internet broadband is very satisfying so far. Although it is not good at times especially during bad weather but the comparison to TM streamyx is way beyond measure. 

This is the HuaWei-E5577 wireless modems comes with the DiGi 100GB broadband subscription. Instead of using streaming the 4G via it's wireless capability i prefer the USB connection to get greater internet stability. Refer here How to connect 4G DiGi HuaWei-E5577 using USB.

There is a greater prospect to this if using 4G signal repeater / amplifier / booster. Once a while getting full 4G signal bar will increase the internet speed up to 25 Mbps 10 faster than it's ordinary speed. The DiGi 4G usual signal speed based on experience

1 Bar - 1 Mbps to 1.5 Mbps
2 Bar - 3 Mbps to 4 Mbps
3 Bar - 5 Mbps
4 Bar - 10 Mbps to 12 Mbps
5 Bar - 20 Mbps to 25 Mbps

Normally day to day i will get 1 to 3 bar and at night up to 4 signal bar. Enough to stream YouTube and the speed is connection is way better than TM Net streamyx
