The corrosive nature of the hydrogen peroxide is certainly something that we should not underestimate even at 6% food grade can cause serious effect to any objects. An experiment of removing rust using a mix of hydrogen peroxide and citric acid is an evidence that it can melt/corrode the metal. In this example is a rusted L-shaped ruler which i intended to remove the rust and no doubt that it is very effective. However after 3 to 4 days the ruler handle was then broken apart by the corrosion effect.
So despite of the many benefit of the hydrogen peroxide (food grade) to human body - we should be aware of the seriousness of the side effect. In doing so more water mix is recommended when treating human body using the solution especially when it comes to internal treatment such as gargle, nose spray, or ear drop.
Possibility of side effect
1. Broken Tooth
2. Burnt tissue
