Open Laptop 2.5" Hard Disk scrap

With its casing a hard disk looks but to throw away when it is faulty as there are nothing you can do about it. However after looking at youtube videos here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QDyq7tdqv7M and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UocVr90l1tg there are some valuable things i've learnt about it.

Major scrap in 2.5" Hard disk

1. Neodymium rare earth magnet
2. Aluminum casing
3. Aluminum - Platinum plated platter
4. Motor

Minor scraps in 2.5" Hard disk can be found on the circuit board

1. Copper pins

That's all i guess for a small hard disk.
