HP Photosmart C4580 is one good looking printer with All-In-One function (Scan, Photocopy, Print) and also the Wifi connection mode. By looking at it maybe you are tempted to have one, but after using it maybe you will need other printer to replace it.
I am using this printer and i hate two things about it because it annoys me when i need to print something important and in fact i don't print certain paper anymore because this printer cannot do it at all. I am not sure if this apply to other HP printers as well, but anyway.
First: Printing paper with the weight 220gsm = which is equivalent to the thickness of paper the business name card use. I thought that i can make my own business' name card using this printer but i am dead wrong. The printer won't even load the paper in and stuck from start of printing, even if you force is to inside it won't print properly because the paper feeder gap is so narrow that the paper will stuck all the way through. Now i am not sure why HP does not look at this problem when manufacturing it, or they just ignore the problem so that we can write something bad about it.
Second: Another bad thing about this printer is the photo-printing. If the photo paper you are using is not made specially for HP, there is likelihood the printer won't print on it properly. Some photo paper have high slickness caused the ink to smudge all over it. So you have to buy photo paper made by specially for HP which is more expensive then the normal photo paper.
This is my personal review of using HP Photosmart C4580 All-In-One printer. I feel like having one bad printer but i have no choice because i won't spend more money to buy another one since i need the All-In-One (Scan, Print, Photocopy) features.
