Pancakes are almost everyone's favorite. Here is a step by step guide on how to prepare pancake batter and how to cook fluffy pancakes.
1 cup milk
1 cup all purpose flour
1 teaspoon caster sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking powder
30g butter, melted
A pinch of salt
1. Sift flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Set aside.
2. In a different bowl, whisk altogether milk, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract and melted butter. Fold in flour until just combined. Let it be lumpy as this will produce fluffier pancakes.
3. Pre-heat a non-stick pan and brush with a bit of oil.
4. Use a medium sized laddle and scoop the batter and place it in the middle of the non-stick pan.
Step 5: Cook each side for about 1 minute. We can know pancake is ready to be flipped to the other side when more bubbles appear on the pancake surface.
Step 6: Cook for another 1 minute after flipping.
Step 7: Serve hot with butter, honey, maple syrup or your favourite fruits, e.g. strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, etc.
