Prestashop 1.7.4.2 how to change the default template favicon

A newly installed PrestaShop 1.7.4.2 is using the original default theme that contains the bird icon or the favicon. If you browse to your PrestaShop you will notice the favicon is appearing on the browser tab which is not professional for your store looks.

However, you can change that easily in the administration page. Follow this step to remove it or replace a new favicon of your choice.

Step 1: Changing the default favicon

Log into the Prestashop admin page and go to Design >> Theme & Logo - it will lead to the configuration page. Once you are there click on the Favicons tab and remove the default one or replace it with a favicon of your choice.

Note: The file of the image must be with *.ico extension otherwise when you upload there will be message prompt as "you do not have permission to edit this" and the file will fail to upload
