Be very careful if you own an AMEX card - which i got mine from MAYBANK. After few years of using it has been doing good so far no problem - but today I was receiving a very shocking SMS from Maybank that my AMEX has been use as follows

RM0.00 MBB: TQ for using your Maybankard ending XXX for USD1.00 AT TRAVEL RESERVATION US\\; 07/09/17;23:11.For enq call num at back of your number

3 SMS from Maybank informing the AMEX has been used for Travel reservation and Itunes billing within the time span of 1 hour. This happens both to my primary and supplementary AMEX Card. I've quickly call the bank to stop the AMEX card activity and the bank will re-issue new one within 5 working days.

After a few years without problem this incident reminds me of what i fear the most of using the credit card such as MasterCard and AMEX that one day this kind of case will happens and it really happening now. My suspicion would be the guy who made the purchase must be testing if the card is working and be used to make purchases - that's why he/she made very small purchases initially.

But there is one thing linger in my mind how did the purchase can go through without getting the MSOS code which have to through my phone. Usually when purchase anything the transaction process will require the MSOS code sent to my phone and then enter it in the transaction in order for the payment to be successful. But the above incident certain didn't have to do that and it is very dangerous.

I've been told by the bank officer it took at least 45 days to reimburse the money - if it is proven unauthorized fraudulent purchased and that is quite a long time to wait if the amount spent by the scammer is big.
